False advertising with the upper patio, it was removed due to safety reasons, but was not communicated to me once I booked it. Beds are real soft, overall it was okay. The place needs some love

This is a beautiful location and view. Communication was excellent and we received partial refunds for the review that follows. For context, our party contained four generations of family, who had traveled from all over the world for a long planned five day reunion. When we arrived, the prior guests were still there. Host Shy had tried to contact us to ask us to “find somewhere else to stay,”an impossible situation for 5 pm in busy July travel season with 11 people in remote Panorama BC. The drive from Canmore includes 106 km with no cell service, so they were unable to get ahold of us by phone. So they sent an email. We were shocked when we arrived to the house full of people. After many stressful conversations, the prior guests admitted they should have checked out, and asked for one hour to vacate. It was a disaster start. Here’s what we found- The exterior of the house is in very poor shape, decks on the second floor are gone and walls are falling apart on the outside. They cut off the beams to the upper decks and padlocked doors to prevent falling. The hot tub is installed on the driveway. Inside there is significant prior damage, the kitchen chairs have dangerous broken backs, lamps are broken, furniture is damaged. Positive sides are comfortable beds, nice view, air conditioning and a large kitchen. We made the best of it but my vacation was mostly spent dealing with the situation, trying to get housecleaning to come and at least clean the bathrooms. Beware.

We booked this property specifically for the advertised amenities and beautiful views, excited for a family vacation with our children and grandchildren. Unfortunately, the listing did not accurately reflect the condition of the property when we arrived.Upon check-in late Thursday evening, we discovered several serious issues:- The front door lock was faulty and required physical manipulation to secure. It was unlocked when we arrived.- There was no deck outside the bedroom door, with no warning signs, barriers, or protection — creating a dangerous 8–10 foot fall risk in the dark. The dining room door was only blocked with two pieces of painter’s tape, which is completely inadequate for safety.- Construction debris covered the remaining deck area, making it unusable, and extended down to the road, damaging trees.- Neither of the two advertised fire tables worked.- We found holes in the walls with visible rot

Great location and lots of room

Place is in a great location. Place is nice but can tell it’s been rented out for awhile now. Beds were comfy. Hot tub worked great but there wasn’t any chlorine pucks in the floater. AC/ stove / bbq was all goodPatio area can use some work but I was also warned the prior renters left the place in a mess so it wasn’t able to be cleaned properly as time was an issue. Overall 7/10. But if it was cleaned properly it would have been a 9.5/10
